On Saturday March 28th at 7PM, join artist resident Summer McCall for a social dancing workshop at Folkist Space! Summer will teach simple group dances and we’ll push aside the furniture to have an old-fashioned house dance to the sound of live fiddle tunes.

This short workshop is beginner-friendly and open to all ages, so if you’ve always been curious about Ceilidh dancing / Contra dancing but don’t know how to begin, come join us! The dance workshop will be paired with an artist Q&A chat and time to meet the artist resident over refreshments.

NOTES: We sell tickets to manage our house capacity, but keep ticket prices low to make these intimate events accessible. Because the ticket price only covers the cost of refreshments and our artist residents are generously donating their time, we will also have a cash donation jar and a QR code at all IN RESIDENCE events. We hope that all attendees will make an at-will donation to the artist of any amount they can afford— 100% of proceeds from donations goes directly to our artist residents.

With limited tickets available first to KAC members and Folkist Space newsletter subscribers, these nights are intimate gatherings of about 20 folks. If you claim a ticket and can’t attend, we hope you’ll let us know or share your ticket with a friend!
